Anton Bruckner International School (ABIS) ist auf der Suche nach einer/einem aufgeschlossenen und enthusiastischen DeutschlehrerIn für unser PYP-Programm (Schüler im Alter von 6 bis 11 Jahren). ABIS bietet als einzige international zertifizierte Volksschule in Oberösterreich ein englischspraches, internationales und ganzheitliches Bildungsprogramm für SchülerInnen im Alter von 4.5 bis 16 Jahren an.

Wir sind eine wachsende Schule: Im Herbst 2019 wird MYP 4 (9. Schulstufe) und ab 2020 MYP 5 (10. Schulstufe) eröffnet. Über 200 SchülerInnen aus mehr als 50 Ländern besuchen unsere Schule, in der sich auch der angegliederte Kindergarten (Early Learning Center) befindet.

Wir sind eine Privatschule mit Öffentlichkeitsrecht. Unser Schulerhalter ist der Schulverein der Kreuzschwestern. Das Unterrichskonzept unserer Schule basiert auf dem Primary Years Programme (PYP) sowie dem Middle Years Programme (MYP) der International Baccalaureate Organisation www.ibo.org. Tätigkeitsbeschreibung

Anforderungen

• Deutsch als Muttersprache
• Erfahrung als Lehrer für Deutsch als Muttersprache und/oder Deutsch als Fremdsprache
• Eine internationale Grundeinstellung (international mindedness) mit Offenheit für kulturelle Vielfalt
• Freude an Sprachen
• Gute Englischkenntnisse von Vorteil, aber nicht unbedingt erforderlich

IT Technician - part time

Anton Bruckner International School (ABIS) is currently seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for the latest technology to join our team. The role is primarily focused on assisting our school in the maintenance of IT equipment and providing a first class service to meet our school’s day to day IT needs.

IT Technician

ABIS is looking for a technician to assist in this vital role which underpins the smooth running of the school, enabling staff and students to maximise the use of IT. The successful applicant will play a key part in the rollout of 1-1 iPads throughout the school in September 2019.

Job Description

  • Maintenance & care of desktops, laptops, iPads, mobile devices and other IT equipment
  • Providing first-line technical support to staff and students and trouble-shooting issues which arise
  • Managing the operational efficiency, security and on-going maintenance and development of the school’s ICT systems and infrastructure
  • Installing new software and hardware
  • Secure security codes and ensure the safe set up of new equipment
  • Set up equipment such as laptops, iPads, projectors, sound systems and other specialist ICT equipment, ensuring that systems are ready for use and operating correctly
  • Setup and Maintain Active Directory Services for Centralised Identity Management of all devices and services
  • Maintenance of school website

MYP Science Teacher

MYP Science Teacher

Our MYP programme is growing and as of Autumn 2019, we will be offering MYP classes up to 9th grade, and in 2020, 10th grade. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated MYP Science teacher with excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills to join the ABIS team and be a part of our growing success.

Job Description

  • Liaise with MYP Coordinator to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum, including selecting resources and managing them efficiently in the classroom
  • Participate in the design, development, implementation and review of MYP Science programmes
  • Participate in the design, development, implementation and review of assessment and reporting systems
  • Develop an integrated, inquiry-based programme of General Science with interdisciplinary links
  • Select relevant resources and digital tools to support and enhance learning
  • Differentiate learning and teaching to challenge learners of different needs
  • Contribute to collaborative learning at all levels of school life
  • Create inquiry-based sessions that develop critical thinking skills and knowledge
  • Foster a stimulating learning environment based on understanding and respect
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues
  • Engage students in reflecting on how, what and why they are learning
  • Encourage students to demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways

Specific Requirements:

  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • Minimum two years’ teaching experience in secondary education (MYP experience is desirable)
  • Familiarity with various teaching resources including, where appropriate, digital tools to support and enhance teaching and learning
  • High level of cultural awareness and international mindedness
